During the Easter weekend, Ghanaian couple Nana and Michael choose to exchange wedding vows at the southern tip of the African continent in South Africa. South Africa is an ideal destination for couples seeking modernity, adventure, and luxury for their wedding experience with so much to offer. Sixty guests, including family and friends, were transported to Forum Homini Hotel for an intimate six-course dinner with wine pairing. The Cradle of Humankind is an area in South Africa near Johannesburg where many fossils, tools, and other traces of early humans were found.

In the suburb of Cornwall Hill, Pretoria, the couple surrounded by 150 of their closest family and friends joined in matrimony. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at a private residence on the gardens late in the afternoon. Nana and Michael wanted to create a very relaxed environment while also embodying elegance. The décor drew from the couple’s love of whimsical design and antique imagery.  Many colonial Victorian styles can be seen through the colourful furnishings styles in the lounge and seating areas anchored by the white high gloss flooring. To incorporate a bit of dimension and texture, we used pastels in peach, salmon, and yellow hues, with darker tones for depth, teal, and maroon for the table decor. Later in the evening, the party came alive from sounds curated by the newlywed’s favorite, DJ Peekay. Afterparty snacks and burgers catered by Jem Catering with assorted drinks were served into the evening to fuel the party guests.
